Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Vladimir Kuvshinov and I am a mineral collector and dealer from Dalnegorsk, Russia but I have lived in Prague, Czech Republic for the last 20 years.
I have been providing collectors with top quality mineral specimens from Dalnegorsk since 1982. I am still in the business and going to Dalnegorsk 3-4 times a year and spend there a minimum of 5-6 months a year.
This piece was mined during the early 1980's. Since Dalnegorsk is a remote locality in Russia with mines only working at half of their capacity and, because of the economical situation in the region, it is unlikely that Dalnegorsk will ever be a high volume producer of fine specimens like this one.
During all these years of trading in the world of minerals I have never seen something of this kind produced by Dalnegorsk.
It is really a world-class mineral specimen and it is a perfect size, perfection of crystal form, transparency, freedom from damage and overall aesthetics. It is the best of the best!
All these years (I bought it in 1989) I have kept it in my collection and was reluctant to sell it. Now the time has come. Only a few people have seen it in person.
Now it can be a part of somebody’s world’s finest private collection.
